[Byzantine Latino Quarter - BLQ Logo]

[Bullet] The Byzantine-Latino Quarter Foundation is here to help restore a California landmark southwest of downtown Los Angeles. Improving the quality of life in urbanized areas helps the city and also reduces growth pressures in undeveloped areas.

Creating attractive, well-lit areas has helped to restore a sense of pride and place to historic neighborhoods. In a neighborhood southwest of downtown Los Angeles that had been known as Pico-Union (wikipedia.org), the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative (LANI) participants redesignated the area as the Byzantine Latino Quarter to convey the Greek and Latino flavor of the area.
